Riverlore is a magic place to live and work, a place that inspires me every day.

Whichever way you look there are hills – the Richmond Ranges to the north and west, and the Wither Hills to the south. The magnificent Wairau river flows past the property and beyond the boundaries, vineyards fan out across the valley floor.

Our visitors tend to linger here, browsing the art in the gallery and studio at a leisurely pace, exploring along the riverbank, looking out for the rare black terns that sometimes appear, or indulging in lunch or a wine tasting at Wairau River Restaurant, just a short stroll away.

Riverlore Gallery and Studio is open Tuesday - Saturday 12pm till 5pm from September to April and shorter hours in winter. We are closed on Monday and Sunday except by appointment.

In the gallery you can see my paintings and the work of guest artists. Sometimes there are sculptures in the gallery garden.
In the studio you can see my works in progress, watch me working or take part in an art workshop.
