Wallace Art Award Finalist - Pathway of Light by Joanna Dudson Scott Marlborough ArtistRiverlore gallery has broadened its shoulders this year and the studio was also a very busy place.

2009 is promising to be a new growth period for the gallery and studio with an emphasis on weekend workshop programs and the introduction of external tutors for the studio.

Inspiration for Joannas new release of work is well underway. Visits to strategic landscape areas have developed a body of drawings, plans and sketches to evolve into unique new canvasses. The date for release will be finalized in 2009. Read more in our Newsletter.

NEW Exhibition - Passing Through - Joanna Dudson Scott - Riverlore ART gallery Marlborough

In a signatory style that is now well established, Passing Through is the current exhibition of new paintings including large and dramatic landscapes and a thought provoking series of studies creating a significant visual experience not to be missed.

A subtle combination of technique and ideas present the viewer with a visual journey of the Redwood, Lindis and Maxwell Passes. These canvas montage works have a seamless complexity with lines that extend beyond the surface of the work. The interpretation of landscape and the physicality of each work lend animation and tension to each piece. Elevated line and form stretch to escape the frame yet remain securely contained by it.

Limited edition fine art prints of selected works are also available and will be on offer from the Gallery on the 15th of August.
